Yang blogs it

An exciting bit of information just came past my desk with the news that performance artist and photographer William Yang has joined the great army of bloggers as he documents his way around his latest tour to the United States.

So far there is one entry from Friday, where he takes you from the reaction of ex-pats in Maryland to a showing of Shadows to receiving a parking ticket in Washington DC.

For fans of William's work, you can hear the tone of the text he uses in performance through his blog entries. It is a beautiful insight into what could be the subject of future performances.

(And another hint to my esteemed friends at Fairfax - or The Australian even - maybe this could be a good blogging idea to bring your arts blogs out of the doldrums... get people like William and any other Australian artist to start contributing whenever they are on a special tour internationally.
