Night's Dream Tragedy

A performer from Tim Supple's critically acclaimed production of A Midsummer Night's Dream last week died suddenly in Sydney after completing a tour of Australian festivals.

The production which was described by The Guardian as "the most life-enhancing production of Shakespeare’s play since Peter Brook’s ... the kind of Dream that leaves you wishing you never had to wake up" the show had just completed tours to Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

Due to travel through India after its Arts Projects Australia appointments, the performer was tragically found in his room after a celebratory night out.

The loss must be a huge blow to the very successful and tightly knit cast and crew of twenty-three who have been on tour for so many months.

My thoughts and wishes are with them and the performer's family.
