Compare this attitude to the one employed by the far more successful band - Cinematic Orchestra - who encourage music videos and live performances placed on YouTube and you can see why they are more world renown. They, too, are at the Sydney Festival.

Bare in mind that the 30 second video I placed on YouTube was a public performance in the foyer of a theatre and not in a paid venue. Also consider the great light I put the band in, with most of the video capturing members of the public clapping and smiling, dancing and cheering and you will maybe start to understand my total disbelief.

The management of Asphalt Tango maybe need to consider entering the 21st Century by starting to understand the workings of the new media and how it can be successfully utilised as a vehicle for modern day marketing and publicity.

So, instead of Gypsy Kings and Queens, I have placed for your enjoyment a clip from the far more successful Goran Bregovic and his Weddings and Funeral Band who staged a much better concert last year in Sydney. .
