If you happen to be one of those people that likes a particular genre of theatre... say, for instance Death Penalty Theatre, you can actually spend the next three nights in Sydney and see three shows, that's right, three shows all about capital punishment.
Tonight, hop on down to the Sydney Theatre Company and check out Tom Wright's play Lorilei which is centred around a woman who fights to keep her son's killer off death row.
Tomorrow night, make your way over to the State Theatre and sit back and lap up the operatic feast that is Dead Man Walking starring the deadly good Teddy Tahu Rhodes.
Then to polish off the last bit of the Labour Day long weekend, you can wander over to Downstairs Belvoir Street theatre and catch the Sunday matinee show of Jesus Hopped the A Train and follow the last days of a man about to be put to death over some serial killing he got up to.
Lap it up people... lap it up!
Either that, or get involved.

Yes, yes. I'm a little bored by all this Lefty, Pinko, Commi pseudo-sentimentality. You're an arts journalist! Act like one! Perhaps if you knew someone who had wasted their lives on heroin, you wouldn't be quite so keen to suggest these drug mules deserve even the tiniest amount of my time or conscience. Frankly, I'm surprised they're still alive.
